Volunteers
Volunteers provide valuable services to the Community Service Center. There are opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved to make a difference for the families and children served by various agency programs.
Community Resource Volunteers
The Community Service Center’s Read Write Now! program offers opportunities for interested individuals to share special talents and interests with the participants in this literacy focused after school program. Community Resource Volunteers offer programs that encourage reading and expand the horizons of the young people in the program.

Food Pantry Partners
Companies, church groups, civic clubs, scout troops, or schools are encouraged to join Food Pantry Partner program. In order to join, a group just has to agree to conduct a food drive for the Community Service Center once a year. The organization picks the month. The Community Service Center will pick up the food!

Adopt a Family Sponsors
Want to help make the holidays brighter for one of our client families? Participate as a sponsor in our Adopt a Family program.
Interested groups, businesses or individuals are paired with client families who are still struggling to make ends meet. They purchase gifts that make the holidays a happy time for families in need.

Clothes Closet Partners
The Community Service Center's Clothes Closet provides good used clothing and household items to families in need. Open 4 days a week, by appointment, the Clothes Closet serves families in need and those referred by other social service agencies. Become a Clothes Closet Partner. Bring your donations to the Center any¬time from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday.
Volunteers are needed to help staff sort through donations and prepare them for display in the Clothes Closet. Volunteers can work during the week, M – F, in the mornings. Hours are flexible.

READ! WRITE! NOW! Volunteers
Work with students in academic-based after school programs in West Winter Park and West Orlando-Washington Shores neighborhoods. Participate in fun activities that help participants improve their academic skills. Volunteers needed Monday through Thursday between the hours of 3 PM -5 PM (some opportunities for evenings with VolunTEEN program to be announced).

Community Technology Center Volunteer
Work in the Community Technology Center at the Community Service Center to help students in basic computer classes and open labs. Evening hours are most requested time though morning and afternoon hours are also needed. Training and supervision provided.

Craft Pal
Got extra craft supplies, paper, crayons, or paints? The Community Service can use them with our programs for children. Many inventive projects and works of art can be created with your donations.

Group Projects
Call the Community Service Center to find out what group projects may be needed. These usually include project that help improve the Center’s facility.
